First Convocation
The ITA School of Performing Arts
(Press Release)
The ITA School of Performing Arts held its first Convocation in the School premises on 24th April, 2012. It’s a pioneering effort of its own kind, because for the first time ever training for 4 of most essential disciplines of Acting, Dancing, Singing and Personality Enhancement, without which it is impossible to conceive Screen performances, is provided under one roof.
It’s a labour of love by Shashi Ranjan (Producer, Director, Convener, The ITA, Publisher, GR8!) and a mission closest to his heart. Having started his career as an actor, he knows the intricacies and nuances that make a complete performer.
Besides, he is also seized of the crying need in the Industry for trained performers, today Says he, ‘These days, we are witnessing a big boom in both small screen and big screen industries and the need for trained performers was never as acute as now. Gone are the days of learning by trial and error. Today, everybody wants a trained performer on the sets – but there is a big hiatus between demand and supply. At the ITASPA, we seek to bridge that hiatus and provide well nurtured talent to Films and TV on a regular basis!’
And in this, the ITASPA has many a unique feature to it, like top-notch infrastructure, most experienced faculty and a training syllabi that is at par with global standards.
Housed in a huge space with ultra modern appointments and facilities, the ITASPA has just the correct ambience for creative learning. All the possible implements to help enhance the process of training are available in plenty there.
Besides, all the teachers have first haud and vast knowledge of their fields. And they are amply aided by a training course juidiciously prepared after a lot of research. Needless to say, that is sure to result in chiselling out complete Actors, Dancers, Singers and totally self-realised and supremely confident professional who can take any challenge head-on.
To cap it, the ITASPA has another advantage ready for its students – the Guest-faculty. In this, they would have a chance to learn a few ropes of their discipline from those who have been great achievers in their on right like, Gulshan Grover, Alka Yagnik, Anup Jalota and so on.
With the vast networking and goodwill of both Film & TV industries on their side through The ITA and GR8! – the ITASPA will provide a lot of placement opportunities to its students. David Dhawan and Anup Jalota were the guests of honour to give away the diplomas to the students of the first batch. Amongst those who attended were…
