Spearheaded by the Mahaguru of Acting in the country, Shri Roshan Tanjea in association with Shashi Ranjan, Producer, Director and the Convenor of The Indian Television Academy, the Foundation is a mission to train and hone up talent and create artistes of substance, who can fulfil the ever-burgeoning demand for fresh talent in Film and TV industries.
Today, the first batch of students was being decorated with their Diplomas from the Foundation, where they have been trained in the nuances of acting by Taneja Sahib, who is peerless in the field. The mood was totally upbeat and the students oozed a confidence that made the occasion full of positive vibes.
For the last four months, these students have been put through the rigours of an acting course that aims not only at nurturing their talent, but also at an extensive, comprehensive and holistic improvement in their personalities.
The course offers many an exclusive feature for students. Besides the grooming in speech, diction, movement, body language and other such nitty-gritty of acting, the course goes further to instil that rare self-belief in students, which will stand them in good stead while building a career for themselves from now onwards in life.
They have also been given ample occasions to hobnob with the well-known pros from the industry, who have regularly being coming in as guest-lecturers during the entire spread of the course. By sharing their experiences with students, these professionals have widened the latter’s horizons and provided them great incentives to realize their promise in the genre of acting.
Obviously elated at the successful completion of the course, Shashi Ranjan elaborates, ‘Besides joy and pride at the success of our endeavour, today we are raring to expand this vision and mission of nurturing talent still further. Very shortly, we will be globally extending our expertise in training talent through a number of franchisees in India and abroad, all of whom would be under stringent quality control by us. It’s a long tread ahead, but we are sure to accomplish our aspirations of training talent from all across!’
Says Taneja Sahib, ‘I take it with a sense of fulfilment that the first batch of the Foundation is stepping out today to find their place under the sun in the entertainment world. We have tried our level best to give them an all round development in personality and in accomplishing the art of acting. I am confident of good career ahead for all of them.’
