These problems are unique to Television and Television alone, and to redress them, a movement has to come from within the TV Industry, itself.

The Indian Television Academy is that very Movement, which seeks to bring the entire Work-Force of Television in India, under one umbrella and then, confront the problems facing it to find solutions, in unison.

Hence, ITA is an endeavour of Television, by Television and for Television.

Particularly, in a field like that of Television, it is absolutely difficult for one to interact, day-in and day-out, with lots and lots of other individuals and departments. This interaction weaves a Web of challenges and problems that go on becoming more and more infinite, by the day.

There are only two Choices before me - One is to go on waging a losing battle against all those odds as a hapless, lone Individual; while the other one is to join a unified, concerted endeavour like the ITA and get my problems solved in a more organized way. Certainly, I would opt for the latter. In short, if I have to be what I have to be… then, I have to be in ITA.

Talent is something signally Individualistic. This has to be there in the Individual.
Raw talent has to be properly honed and sharpened with stimuli and inputs from the initiated ones, around.

ITA will try to enrich the Individual talent with an extremely wholesome interface with exposure to the best of achievements in the medium, globally speaking.

Regarding opportunities, ITA will provide great Anchorage to all its members. It will be a platform, where different units of this field can intermingle and thereby, come to know of one another's merit and mettle. It will become the coveted springboard for the individual talent to be perceived and taken note of, by the powers that be.
Once, these two things happen, getting work would merely be a fait accompli! And the ITA guarantees that!
