Anu Ranjan
Born in the New Dehli & studied at the Convent of Jesus & Mary, Simla, Anu pursued higher education at Loreto House College, Calcutta, Anu shifted to United States in her early teens that contributed to her acquiring a deeply analytical bend of mind. She acquired a penchant for looking at things in their proper perspective, which has stood her in good stead, to this day.

Marriage brought her back to India. It also created an interface for her with Films and Television, as husband Shashi Ranjan, an alumnus from FTII, belonged to this Industry. When Shashi Ranjan took to the production of TV software, she was also drawn to it, willy nilly. However, gradually she started getting keenly attuned to the goings-on and soon, it was a headlong plunge for her into the genre.

Her basic moorings led her to perceive a lot that was amiss in the working of the TV Industry, here. Even after being an Industry of gargantuan proportions, it needed to be streamlined.
To garner and galvanize the entire TV fraternity under one umbrella, Anu envisaged The Indian Television Academy, with the cardinal aim of building bridges amongst the disparate sectors of this medium.

Since then, she has turned ITA into an unqualified success story, whether by creating unprecedented welfare measures for its members; Instituting the first ever totally TV Centric Awards; providing a pioneering platform for interaction amongst the different quarters of the Industry by way of the Seminar, "ON TELEVISION"; providing mediation between channels and producers…; so forth and so on.

And she is the last person to sit on her laurels. Her pursuits for creating better working ethos for Indian Television continue unabated.

Dheeraj Kumar
An alumnus in Acting from the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune, he assiduously learned the ropes of Direction and Production all by himself. After a brief stint as an Actor in Films, he shifted gears and launched Creative Eye for Production of Television Software. In it, he earned enviable eminence and came

up with a line of mythological serials that became household names in the country. Whether it is Ganesh or Lord Shiv, he has virtually brought them live to myriads of avid watchers of the Tube. He has also shown great acumen in the field of Marketing and Sales vis-à-vis Television, which, in fact, are its very lifeline. He is really bound for even greater accomplishments because of his probing and profound insights into the Medium.

Javed Akhtar
The redoubtable writer - poet, he is a real sorcerer with words. A scion of a family abounding in distinguished literati, he has been able to cast a hypnotic spell on the audience through his writing in Films like Sholay, Deewar, Trishul and so on. His forays into the world of poetry and lyrics have been equally illustrious. His songs

have echoed in the households throughout the Country, through Films from Silsila to Tezab to 1942, A Love Story to Border to Lagaan…and so on.
He has also shown rare profundity as a TV host in such highly regarded programmes as Guftagu and Rahen Na Rahen Hum. Hence, he is considered as one of the most pre-eminent personalities in both Films and TV as well. He is a person with firmly held views and has the courage of conviction to stand-up for all his beliefs.

L. V. Krishnan
Postgraduate in Mathematics from IIT, Worked as Strategic Media Planner in 3 media agencies over the last 10 years - Grey Media, HTA and Starcom (Leo Burnett) before moving to TAM for the last two years.

The man who measures the pulse of Indian Television by collating the T.R.P.'s. His penetrating insides into the medium are absolutely non-pareil.

Mahesh Bhat
The iconoclast and the enfant terrible of Indian Cinema, he came to grips with the medium of his choice in Saransh. Since then, it has been a distinguished line up of such stimulating and captivating works as Arth, Sadak, Daddy, Ashiqui, Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin, Zakhm etc.

He is a crusader, a non-conformist an entertainer, a firebrand - all rolled into one. He has a penchant for being controversial and picking up Causes that even the bravest hesitate to pursue. He has now taken to writing with a vengeance and is ever ready to bludgeon the world around, with his thoughts that are avant-garde to the core. He has also shown great virtuosity as a TV anchor. Generally regarded as the spokesman of the Industry, he is always there for illuminating bytes regarding all the issues pertaining to Cinema and Television. He is the media's delight, who is keenly looked forward to, for his startlingly unconventional ideas and opinions.

Manmohan Shetty
Owner of Adlabs the leading Film Laboratory in the Country, besides the chain of Multiplexes. A filmmaker and entrepreneur of repute, he is the first person to introduce IMAX Theatres in India - he is ever ready to sheet-anchor any avant-garde movement in the medium

Manoj Kumar Sonthalia
A scion of the illustrious Goenka family, he has carved out a niche for himself in the world of Indian Press by being the apex force behind Express Publications (Madurai) Ltd. and Sterling Newspapers Ltd. that publishes Gentleman and Biznet.

Endowed with rare perceptivity vis-à-vis Press, Journalism and Publishing in all the aspects, is multifarious in his pursuits; e.g. he is the Trustee of the Bala Mandir Kamraj Trust; member of the Central Pollution Control Board of the Ministry of Environment & Forests besides being a member of the Board of Directors of the Indian Institute of Mass Communication et al. He is always ready to provide anchorage to endeavours that dare to seek new horizons in the Media.

Prem Krishen
The inheritor of the Prem Nath legacy, he naturally started his career as an Actor in Hindi films and made a mark with Dulhan Wohi Jo Piya Man Bhaye. However, he branched out to Software Production for Television and now is a real stalwart in this field.

In fact, since the incipient days of Doordharshan, when he produced the highly regarded, Katha Sagar, his Production House, Cinevista has burgeoned forth to produce as varied a fare as from Gul Gulshan Gulfam to Junoon, to Noorjehan to SSShhhh Koi Hai… to Sanjivani… and so on. Time and again, he has proved his acumen through this body of high-quality fare in the general rut of TV soaps. To him, Television is not a mere pot boiler, but an instrument and vehicle for express something truly worthwhile. He has never let himself be a part of the mundane and the mediocre and has a wealth of ideas and plans for still more stimulating and captivating works on Television

Rajat Sharma
A resolute crusader, who has given new meanings to Television in India, by his politically aware and ingenious fare. A man with conviction, he has striven the hardest to raise a voice against the Evils of the System. He, with his programme, "Aap Ki Adalat", paved a way for the Commoners to sit in judgment over the Luminaries from various walks of life. A person loved for his bold and blunt
arguments, which, at times even unnerved the best of the Personalities, on his Show and made them to really open their hearts out.
Shifting from Print to Electronic Media, he was quick to grasp the basics of the medium. A celebrity well- known to all over the world, he is best known as the people's man on the box.

Ravi Chopra
He got his initial grooming in Cinema from his Father, Shri B.R.Chopra, a doyen of Indian Film Industry. He made Films like Chehre Pe Chehra and The Burning Train, but his real moment came when he delved into Television.It was the illustrious Mahabharat that won him unqualified plaudits from all over the Country.

Since, then B.R.TV has made as eclectic a fare as from Bahadur Shah Zafar to Dushman etc., under his stewardship. He has actually been instrumental in augmenting Television in India to phenomenal proportions. He has a unique sense of creating the correct ambience for his stories and in his hands, the characters on Screen no more remain cardboardish. He, also, keeps himself abreast of the state-of-the-art in Technology vis-à-vis the Medium. Besides, his concerns for better working ethos in Indian Television are genuine and profound and he leaves no stone unturned in doing his lot for the Industry.

Revathy
Revathy, with more than 16 years experience in the entertainment industry, has won five Filmfare awards for Best Actress for her performance in the Tamil films Mann Vasanai, Thevar Magan; Anjali; Telugu film Ankuram; and Malayalam film Kakothi Kaavil Appoopan Thadigal. She was also awarded the National award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the Tamil film, Thevar Magan in 1992. An
Actress par-excellence, she is also endowed with probing insights about the visual genres.

Shashi Ranjan
Originally, from Bhiwani in the state of Haryana, India, Shashi comes from a family of educationists. After graduating with a Bachelor's degree from Punjab University, he earned a Diploma in Acting from the most prestigious Film Institute in Asia, viz. the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune.
After completing several acting assignments in Films, Shashi realised his potential and preference for "behind the screen activities" and was instrumental in many a Film, belonging to the state languages of "Haryanvi" and "Punjabi". In 1989, he wrote and produced the "Hindi" feature film Siyasat , and since then has been involved in his Production-house producing the various Film and Television projects like ‘Shotgun-Shoot’, ‘Without-Makeup with Mahesh Bhatt’, ‘Making of a Legend’ and the Indo-Dutch Co-production ‘Driving Miss Palmen’, etc.
A true Television zealot, his role in forming The Indian Television Academy has been the most conspicuous. Through it, he is in constant pursuit for creating an interface between Channels and Producers.
He also carries a profound sense of belonging to his alma mater in Cinema, the FTII and has worked zealously towards putting its house in order. For this, he also strove hard to revive GRAFTII, the Alumni-association of the FTII, of which he was the President for one year.
A workaholic, he is planning a couple of Films these days, one of which would be A rip-roaring Comedy with dollops of Romance and the other, A racy Thriller with edge-of-the-seat twists and turns.
Besides this, he is making Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai, which is being telecast on Zee TV.

Shekhar Suman
When a young, callow youth from Bihar appeared against Rekha ( no less) in Utsav, few could realise that one day he would acquire a cult status. More Films followed an really nothing of the sort happen - and then, destiny took a turn… as he - shall we say, 'migrated' to Television, something truly miraculous happened.
He went on to become a Superstar from the Small Screen, defying all the set motions about the so-called non-significance of the Box. A consummate actor, he has displayed great virtuosity in anchoring also - whether it is Movers and Shakers or the recent Neelam Ghar, he has carried then on his shoulders, singly and most dexterously. Endowed with a unique sense of humour, he has transcribed his skills onto Theatre also with the same aplomb. He has in him a seething rescrvoir of ideas about the medium, which is forever striving to translate into reality.

Siddharth Kak
Extremely Media savvy, he has earned recognition in such varied quarters as the Creative Fields, Critique and Appreciation and even Culinary Judgement. This multifarious persona of his has earned him encomiums from the high brows and the hoi polloi as well. After a brief foray into Films as an Actor, he took to different planes of creativity.
In this respect he made a history of sorts by producing and directing Surabhi - India's first and longest running Cultural Magazine on Television. It proved to be a display window of India, hitherto unseen and unrealised. In fact, Surabhi introduced us to our country all afresh.
He is endowed with keen analytical understanding of the visual genres and has given new meaning to Film Appreciation by his highly regarded Magazine, Cinema Vision. His probing discernment has always stood the ITA in good stead for all its endeavours.

Smita Thackeray
A true visionary, she has acquired the status of an icon in the Film and TV through her untiring persistent efforts to better the lot of the deprived and the destitute in these Industries. A successful producer in both Cinema and Television as well, her span of activities is not confined to that alone.

She has something of a crusader in her that actuates her to work towards the betterment of the working ethos of these fields. Her doggedness and unflinching resolve have been acknowledged by the Industry by way of her being entrusted with the President-ship of the Indian Motion Picture Producers' Association. Similarly, her crusades against such scourges as AIDS and Drug Addiction have earned her great regards and recognition, all over. She is also the pivotal force behind the RamaDham Home for Aged. In sum, she is a socially conscious zealot, who knows how to translate her beliefs into actions.

Dr. T. Subbarami Reddy
Dr T Subbarmani Reddy Member of Parliament, Visakhapatnam constituency, has been involved in social work for more than twenty years. A Public figure and multi-faceted personality, Dr. Reddy has dedicated his life to social, political, spiritual, cultural and philanthropic activities.

Being one of the eminent film producers, Dr. Reddy has produced Hindi films Chandni and Lamhe along with Shri Yash Chopra. Dr. Reddy has been the recipient of the National Award, Swarna Kamal from the President besides, the Kala Bandhu award. Dr. Reddy has served as the Chairman of the prestigious institution Tirmula Tirupati Devesthanam (TTD) Board.

Zarina Mehta
One of the Founders of UTV, a premier Production House for TV software, she has pioneered variety of genres in the Indian Television Programming. She is the Creative Head of UTV's Television segment and in this capacity, she has a line-up of several highly successful shows to her credit. A keen and creative participant in the various fora and platforms of the Industry, she is never found wanting in
sharing her wealth of experience and acumen vis-à-vis the Medium.

It has been thanks to the powerhouse of skill and competence that she has been endowed with, which has pencilled such prominence for UTV in Air Time sales across terrestrial and satellite TV networks and in the syndicated and licensed content in various International Markets. For all of this, Zarina's role has been truly pivotal. Her perseverance and percipience in the Medium have earned her a paramount status in the Industry.
