The Academy is seized of the perception that Television is capable of doing tremendous things. However, it needs to be streamlined and that has become the prime causative factor of setting up the Indian Television Academy.

The Academy seeks to look after the welfare of the Television Industry, in India.

With twelve distinguished luminaries on its Governing Council, headed by a highly dynamic personage in Ms. Anu Ranjan, the Academy has a tremendous wealth of vision, with respect to the uplift of Indian Television, to make it at par with the international standard.

At the outset, the Academy has lined up a host of advantages for its members. It will be an instrument of Access amongst all the three Segments of this Industry i.e. Hardware, Software and Broadcasting.
