A ‘Spa’rkling Launch!
The final stage in the art of alchemy (Iosis) saw a new beginning of late. Kiran Bawa, the brain behind the Iosis Medispa chain took beauty and well-being to an altogether new height when she launched her new venture with the ultimate diva, Shilpa Shetty.

Speaking on the occasion, both Kiran and Shilpa revealed how Wellness India took shape from a cherished and shared dream.

With an unmistakable pride in her voice, Kiran stated, “I’ve done a course in London where they had great ideas of medical spas (medispas) comprising skin treatments, massages and other such techniques. People freely indulge themselves in fashionable clothes, unhealthy food and harmful drinks. But imagine going to a party with pimples or dark spots. It’s almost frightening. I believe the beauty process is also a relaxing one and that’s certainly not a bad idea. It’s become very important in today’s times - a necessity rather than a luxury. You have spas mushrooming everywhere these days, and since I’ve always harboured a dream of incorporating wellness with beauty, I thought of venturing into it with the ultimate Bollywood diva (Shilpa Shetty), who’s been my friend for the past 17 years. My motive, personally, has always been to spread wellness and fitness everywhere, and who better than Shilpa? We all swear by her body and hair.”

Meanwhile Shilpa, dressed in a skimpy tiger print dress which showed off her envious figure to the hilt, added, “It’s really nice working in constant co-ordination with someone you know, and Kiran is a dear friend. I was from a middle-class background, having no clue of beauty. What people don’t know about me is that I have taken a formal training as a beautician. Middle-class people generally feel that spas are unaffordable and consider it a guilty pleasure. I want to tell all of them to overcome this notion and go for it!”

The launch itself was a rejuvenating experience, what with gracious hosts, good company and foot massages to boot. Am omen for good things to come? We bet!
