Farah Khan to do a cameo in J D Majethia’s film ‘Khichdi – EBLS’!

fter her success in choreography, direction and anchoring, Farah Khan is now all set to make her acting debut in Producer J D Majethia’s ‘Khichdi – EBLS’ which will be directed by Aatish Kapadia.
Farah confirmed the news, “I am doing a comic cameo in Khichdi-EBLS. When JD approached me for this role, I immediately accepted it as I play myself in the movie. I essay the character of a stern and serious director. It was great fun and I thoroughly enjoyed shooting for the film as I was served with good Gujarati food on the sets.”
JD Majethia, who himself is essaying a vital role, is thrilled about Farah’s comic cameo. “I have known Farah for a long time but I wasn’t sure if she would agree for the role. But she surprised me. She was always present on the days when I required her for the shoot and also sincerely followed everything that was instructed to her by our director, Aatish Kapadia.” He added, “Farah’s sequence is very humorous. She is approached to make a film for the express purpose of annoying someone. Farah agrees to make the film on the condition that she won’t be given credit.”

Rajan Shahi’s Lucky Mascot!!!

o it’s none of Rajan Shahi’s leading ladies, Parul, Sara or Hina but its Amardeep Jha whom he considers his lucky mascot! She plays three different roles in three different shows of Director’s Kut Productions i.e. Sapna Babul Ka Bidaai and Yeh Ristha Kya Kehlata Hai on Star Plus and Maat Pitaah Ke Charno Mein Swarg on Colours. Amardeep is an elated woman with the success of the movie ‘3 Idiots’ where she played Sharman Joshi’s mother and made everyone laugh with her funny anecdotes especially in the cooking sequence when the 3 idiots were having their food and she scratches her paralyzed husband’s chest with the same Belan with which she is cooking.
She is thankful to Rajan Shahi who gave her an opportunity to act in his three shows and for considering her his lucky mascot.

Deepshikha Nagpal directs her first film ‘Ye Dooriyan’!!

fter her successful stint in films like Koyla, Baadshah, Life Partner, Dhoom Dhadaka etc. Deepshikha Nagpal is now all set to fulfill her dream of Directing a Film. But this versatile actress has gone a step ahead and has also decided to write this love story, ‘Ye Dooriyan’ in which she is playing the lead role and also has Chitrashi Rawat (Chak De girl), K K Menon and a new comer. Deepshikha further revealed that she has got a very hot look in the film and that it’s a pretty today’s kind of woman oriented metropolitan story. At the same time it is also a classy masala entertainer with good songs of which already two chirpy numbers are recorded with Meet Brothers. The shooting will begin in February with the first schedule in Goa. It’s scheduled to be released in August.
Few know that Deepshikha comes from a filmy family, “My nana Vithaldas Panchotia (Master Vithal) hailed from the silent era, my mother was a Guajarati film producer and an actress, my father was also a film maker, so I have eaten, drank and slept cinema. In this vein, my turning to film making is but a natural conclusion. I decided to produce and direct the film myself, for I did not want to explain anything to anybody, it’s my baby though it would not be easy to handle all the departments”, says excited Deepshikha.

Narayani Shastri debuts with ‘Na Ghar Ke Na Ghaat Ke’

ell everyone who has been wondering where the petite damsel Narayani has disappeared, here is the answer. Narayani Shastri has been busy shooting for her debut movie ‘Na Ghar Ke Na Ghaat Ke’ which is which is being directed by her mystery man Rahul Aggarwal. He is not only acting in the movie but also directing and producing it under the banner Star Entertainments Pvt. Ltd. “It’s something new, different then what I have been doing and it obviously feels great,” quipped Narayani. Ask her why she opted for this movie instead for waiting for a big banner, pat comes the reply, “I liked the script, my character and that is what is more important. And also I am getting a chance to share the screen space with veteran actors like Paresh Rawal and Om Puri. I used to work with DD before I started working with Ekta Kapoor. It was the script that interested me and not the fact that her production house is famous. She further added, “My character is of a very simple, innocent, girl-next-door, I can’t divulge more details for that you’ll have to see the movie. I am very happy and exited to be a part of this movie. I am looking forward for its release. The star cast of the movie includes Rahul Aggarwal, Narayani Shastri, Paresh Rawal, Om Puri and Ravi Kishan and is currently being shot. The film marks the launch of Rahul Aggarwal as an actor.

Is gunaah ki koi (K)Shama nahi hai…ya hai?!

hough happy for the admiration she’s received for her performance in Rocket Singh, Gauhar Khan has a reason big enough for the happiness quotient to subside, with regards to her personal life. Apparently, the hottie who was in a serious relationship since the past two years with Saahil Peerzaada received a major setback as a third person was involved in their relationship. According to sources, the third person is none other than TV and film actress Shama Sikander. And it’s not ‘just rumours’, if the sources are to be believed. Apparently, Saahil and Shama have been spotted a couple of times together in Filmcity and some suburban restaurants having a good time together added with great chemistry. Ever since she’s come to know of it, Gauhar is inconsolable as she was already planning her wedding with Saahil. Also upsetting is the fact that Shama was aware of their relation. Though Shama denies the rumors, Saahil too refuses commenting on the same.

Nakusha aka Mahi Vij scares away the people from the sets!!!

ahi Vij who plays the character of Nakusha in Lagi Tujhse Lagan on Colors is well known for playing pranks on the sets. When she was in her avatar of the ugly duckling, few people happened to be on the sets to watch the shoot. A small kid from the crowd suddenly walked up to Mahi who was in her get up of Nakusha and asked her how long the shoot would last. But when Mahi turned to answer the kid, the child got so scared that he fled away to his parents. However, Mahi, the prankster just did not end this incident here; she followed the kid and behaved like a complete Psychic. The people left the shoot immediately and that also to be never seen again. Everyone on the sets was in splits on this cranky act of Mahi. And for the innocent kid we guess he wouldn’t ever ask his parents to take him to see any shoot atleast in the near future.
