And we are not talking about the fav orange-flavoured cold drink of yesteryears!

It’s actually a ‘Spot’ that has the yellow metal all over it. Aptly called, ‘Swarn Bhavan’ (Golden Mansion), it’s a huge structure done in gold.

On this spot of gold is played Yahan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli (Zee TV) with its old Aristocracy and the present-day circumstances that beset it. It’s a boiling cauldron of their tears, travails and triumphs and it is getting the viewers hooked to it, majorly.

(Entering there seems like we have stumbled onto the mythical El Dorado, the City of Gold. The yellow metal shimmers at us from all over. There is gold on the walls, gold on the huge columns, gold on the banisters, gold on the décor… (Gasps!)… Had it not been for the ‘Lights, Roll, Cut’ drill going on there, we would have thought we were in a past life regression, waiting for an audience with some Autocrat/Aristocrat types…
But thank Heavens; we are placed in the present! It is only a set and we are here for a chatty encounter with the people who have created this ambience and aura…
He is the stuff teenyboppers would swoon at… fair, pleasantly athletic (that is, not one of those rippling biceps/triceps types), he has a winsome smile and a naughty glint in the eyes that gives a tangy aura to him… you know- a bit Khatta-Khatta…
She has a persona dripping honey! Doe-eyed, slender and svelte, she has silken Indian features and a jingle to her tone… the sum-total can be nothing but candied… you know- Meethi, Meethi…
That’s Karan and Suhasi (playing Karan and Aabha in ‘Yahan Main…’ and hobnobbing with them is a sheer delight… the twosome is totally without frilly airs and with spot-on spontaneity and they chat on with chirpy abandon…)
