“I was fed up
of taunts
and this was one of the reasons I wanted to go away”,
says Pushtiie
There are many like me who don’t have an inspiration to look upto to or a character whom they can relate to, but suddenly when the TV sets turned red, we saw a change. Emerged a cute, good- looking girl but sans the ultra-sexy figure that would make the eyeballs peep out. She is a sweet, funny girl, high on confidence and who feels that after all it’s not that bad to be healthy. Yes, you got it right; I am talking about Mahi of Mahi Way on Sony. You might not know her by the name but a look at her and you immediately recognize her as Chhoti of Hum Paanch. Pushtiie who is back on the small screen with Mahi Way after almost five- six years, is all ga-ga about her role and is happy that people have realized the potential in her as an actor. Pushtiie talks her heart out in this Exclusive chat with GR8!
Firstly, where had you suddenly disappeared for so many years?
I was really irritated with the same kind of roles I was offered. All of them were of this sweet, hungry girl. Mahi too is somewhat like that but it’s more to Mahi. I knew and I wanted others to realize that Pushtiie has the potential to do a lot more and as nothing interesting was coming my way, I packed my bags and left for Goa. I went to Pune. Dharamshala and then back to Goa, it felt positive and nice. I am into therapies reiki, crystals, past - life regression, angel therapy, tarot cards and much more and I am healing since 15 years and taught the same in Goa. I am a Reiki grandmaster and I took training from Swami Akhil Saraswati and Maa Divya. I always believed in one thing – if you let go, you will be taken care of. I have a lot of faith in me, and it has always worked.
